2026 Honduras Short-Term Mission Report

Honduras Mission Team

Mission Period: 1/28-2/3/2026

Mission Overview

The Honduras Mission Team conducted  ministry to multitude of souls through nail care ministry, eye examination ministry, medical care ministry, evangelism ministry, and VBS (Vacation Bible School). Through these diverse ministries, we fulfilled the mission of spiritual healing and gospel proclamation.

Ministry Details

1. Eye Examination Ministry (240 people)

· Provided corrective glasses for myopia, magnifying glasses, eye drops

· Provided sunglasses for patients with corneal cataracts due to sun exposure

· "While conducting eye examination ministry, I constantly recalled the story of Bartimaeus in Mark 10:46-50, who regained his sight after meeting Jesus. I served with joy and dedication, though I always felt my efforts were insufficient." (BongSuk Jang)

2. Medical Ministry (206 people)

· Blood pressure measurement and cholesterol testing

· Identified and managed diabetic patients (hemoglobin A1C 8-13, severe diabetes)

· Found many patients with high cholesterol and obesity

· Treated various conditions: stomach pain, cellulitis, colds, back and shoulder pain, skin diseases

· Provided lifestyle improvement education (exercise, dietary changes, smoking cessation, alcohol abstinence)

· Offered spiritual healing through prayer for all patients

3. Nail Care Ministry (110 people)

· Provided nail art services and nail polish as gifts

· In the prison, shared the message "Do you know Jesus?", "God loves you" in simple English without interpreters

· Touching testimony: A woman who was initially reserved and a 40-year-old woman we met last held hands and shed tears together, experiencing a spiritual encounter

4. Evangelism Ministry (70 people accepted Jesus, 200+ heard the gospel)

· Used the Evangecube (Gospel Cube) to teach the assurance of salvation

· Corrected the misconception common in Latin America where many Catholics believe attending church guarantees heaven

· People experienced true joy and hope after receiving salvation assurance

5. VBS (Vacation Bible School - 295 people)

· Awakened spirits through Pastor Pyeong-hwa Cha's sermon

· Prepared hearts through Evangelist Austin's worship· Offered spiritual insight through the religious drama "The Prodigal Son"

· Both children and adults listened intently with sparkling eyes, and many shed tears of conviction

· Witnessed transformative moments as souls were moved by the Holy Spirit

Fruit of Ministry

✦ Spiritual Harvest: 70 people accepted Jesus and received the promise of eternal life

✦ Physical Healing: 206 people received medical services; diagnosed and managed patients with hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol

✦ Restored Sight: 240 people received proper eyeglasses and eye drops

✦ Psychological Comfort: Personal encounters and spiritual encouragement through nail care ministry

✦ Awakened Souls: Through various integrated ministries, many souls experienced the gospel and witnessed the movement of the Holy Spirit

Prayer of Thanksgiving

1. God's love and grace transcending language barriers—the miracle of soul-to-soul encounter and transformation without interpretation

2. Simultaneous physical and spiritual healing through medical ministry

3. Bearing fruit in diverse settings: prisons, churches, and rural villages

4. The precious opportunity for the next generation to meet Jesus through VBS

5. Team members' dedication and spiritual sensitivity—recognizing the significance of each moment and interceding through prayer

6. The warm welcome and passionate faith of our Honduras brothers and sisters

Prayer Requests

1. May the 70 who accepted the gospel take root and grow in their faith in local churches

2. May the 200 who received medical services improve their lifestyles and seek continuous medical care from doctors

3. May the souls in Honduras develop the assurance of salvation and bold faith before the Lord

4. May those met during nail care ministry (especially those in prison) not reoffend but return to the Lord's arms

5. May the pastors of Honduras churches devote themselves to discipleship of new believers

6. May the Korean mission team's dedication bear continuous fruit through intercessory prayer and follow-up ministry

7. May the members of the Honduras Mission Team transform this precious experience into a spiritual asset for their entire lives and grow as lay missionaries
